Sleepy Hollow: how Dutch did that Hessian with the cyanide pill sound? Super duper Dutch. This is a common phenomenon in American media, and it amuses me.
Korra once again went from really really aggravating to painfully boring from one episode to the next. Impressive.
Agents of SHIELD... is like CLAMP's Magic Knight Rayearth. There's a bunch of characters I adore or can see myself coming to adore in future eps, but the writing and visuals and dialogue and plot are just so mediocre, how do you even. Coulson would still have been better off still dead, but Skye and Ward (I ship it) and Melinda have grown on me quite explosively in ep 2 and 3.
Plus, I am now all caught up on Once Upon A Time. Deeply unimpressed with Pan's little speech to Henry. A woman's greatest feat and destiny is giving birth to a boy saviour? Especially a woman as developed and accomplished as Emma? Hell to the no. >B| On the other hand, I AM SCREAMING. HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIIIIIIIT. Mulan/Aurora is canon and they're gonna have an arc spanning all the way to ep 11. 8D
OH. And I can't believe I forgot. Let the record state that my excitement over the upcoming Fantastic Beasts movies is OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAND. :D
I'm reading JKR's two non-HP books too. So far, I despise every single character in A Casual Vacancy (now that takes TALENT), and The Cuckoo's Calling is like a breath of fresh air. For the past year (okay, years) I haven't been reading a terrible lot of "new" books, i.e. ones that aren't attached to multimedia franchises I'm already invested in, series I was already reading, or which I haven't read before, because somehow I keep opening books with exhausting and/or subtly but cumulatively(?) annoying writing styles. TV-show tie-in novels, strangely, have given me no such trouble yet. Which is good because Babylon 5 alone has like twenty of them. JKR too, I am pleased to note, never lets me down unless she means to.
Now I just have to remember to catch up on Pottermore...
And last but not least, I am going to a midnight premier of Thor: The Dark World with Thor 1 as an appitizer, and I'M SO EXITED ~ ~ AND I JUST CAN'T HIDE IT ~ ~ I think I'll have to spend the night camping out on Amsterdam Central Station afterwards, because we only have night buses on weekends, I can't drive, and everybody else has school or work the next morning so I'll be all by my lonesome. But that's worth it for a clock-strikes-midnight-on-opening-day marathon adventure. I haven't had one of those since Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows came out and my mom and I and fifteen other people showed up at the bookstore across from the nearest supermarket. XD
